Save on Transportation to Washington, DC.
From New York
Take the "Chinatown Buses". Google "Chinatown Bus" and choose from about 8 companies. Mega bus and Bolt bus offer Wi fi and sometimes plug-ins for
their riders to Washington, DC. Many visitors take Greyhound, but the Greyhound terminal is not close to downtown Washington, DC as the "Chinatown Buses"
These buses cost usually between $10-$24 one way from New York to Washington, DC as compared to Amtrak trains which could be $60 to over $100.
Bus rides with usual traffic take about 4 hours and 20 minutes. Week ends vary and could take during rush hour up to 6 hours.
